Registration for Fall Evaluation

This page is for registering for the WLC Fall Evaluation process for the Spring 2024 season.  Registration is ONLY for current 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade players who want to be evaluated to play on the Westfield Lacrosse Club travel lacrosse teams for the Spring 2024 seasons.  There will be a separate registration for the Spring 2024 Season (for all grades) following the evaluations.

If a player cannot attend the fall evaluations, the player will be placed on the lower competitive team for that player's grade.  If the player misses both fall evaluations because of a conflict with a non-club lacrosse sport or illness, the player will be evaluated during the first two weeks of the spring season to confirm proper placement.  WLC does not cut players based solely on a player's failure to attend the fall evaluations.

It is our expectation that evaluations will be on 9/30, 10/1, 10/14 and 10/15 (exact times and locations TBD).  We would expect that boys and girls will each have one Saturday and one Sunday available for their evaluations.  There will be a $50.00 registration fee to cover the cost of field rentals, practice pinnies (which the player will keep for the Spring 2024 season), and coaches/evaluators.

5th and 6th Grades -- 2 even teams.  Evaluations will provide WLC and coaches with each player's skill sets and aid in establishing 2 even teams for the spring season.

7th and 8th Grade Select Teams -- Evaluations will allow WLC to evaluate players for the highest level team in the JGLA 7th and 8th Grade Divisions.

7th/8th Grade Travel -- For players not placed on the Select teams, the 7th/8th Grade Travel team(s) will compete against surrounding town lacrosse teams of similar abilities.

5th Grade -- 2 even teams.  Evaluations will provide WLC and coaches with each player's skill sets and aid in establishing 2 even teams for the spring season.

6th, 7th, and 8th Grades -- Evaluations will provide WLC the ability to evaluate players for Blue and White teams to play in NJJLL.

BEFORE you click the Registration button above, please first go to USA Lacrosse to register/renew the membership of each of your players with the national governing organization.

  • Beware of AutoFill!  The first section is "Participant Info", meaning your child player, not the parent.  Several parents have registered themselves as players.  Also if you have more than one child to register, click the 'Add another participant' button before proceeding to fill in Parent Info.
  • Under Additional Participant Info is a checkbox for Financial Assistance Requested.  We all need a little help from time to time.  WLC is a community-focused organization and wants as many kids to love lacrosse as possible.  Please check that box to confidentially indicate your intent to seek financial assistance OR if you can't pay via online credit card using an AMEX, Discover, Mastercard, or Visa.  Note that if you don't check this box and fail to pay via online credit card, your registration will be deleted when we prepare to construct team rosters.
  • Step 1 asks for Participant (Player) information.  Just before Step 2 is a button to "Add Another Participant" - don't skip that if you are registering more than one child.
